Petition to Recall Board of Directors
The purpose of a petition must be included on each petition page circulated for signatures. The reason for calling a special meeting should be positioned at the top of the page so people can read it before signing the petition. Stating the purpose is also necessary for determining if the meeting is being called for a lawful purpose as required by the California Corporations Code. At least 5% of the members on title count toward the 5% requirement. For verification purposes, the member's name and address must be legible in the column adjacent to the signature.

The undersigned members of the association referenced above, representing 5% or more of the membership, hereby submit this petition to the board of directors in accordance with California Corporation Code Section 7510(e) and California Civil Code Section 5115(a). The petitioners request that the board set the earliest reasonable date for a special meeting as required by law. Note that the only business to be conducted at the special meeting is the recall of the entire board of directors and the election of new directors if the recall is successful. Nomination forms will be sent to the board separately so that names can be placed on the ballots to be distributed.
